Student Benefits

-
I make sure each lesson is fun and that students feel inspired to play. I spend a lot of time emphasizing good musicianship skills to my students so that they continue to make progress on their instrument.
-
Lessons are personalized and will be focused on achieving the goals of each individual student.
-
My students learn primarily by playing their favorite songs, supplemented by technical exercises when appropriate. Other topics such as music theory and ear training are developed through this approach.
-
Each of my students receive 100% of my attention during and after their lesson. Students are always welcome to email/call/text me with questions that may come up during their practicing at home.
-
Studies have shown that music education leads to better academic performance in school, strong problem solving skills, and good social skills.
Testimonial

"You take the time to review and explain topics until Jack has grasped the concept. I think your personality is very well suited to teaching. You are not too overwhelming nor are you too casual. I also feel that you have developed a personal relationship with Jack and take pride in how well he is learning and progressing. Your motivation skills were very evident during the weeks leading up to his recent recital. I feel your preparation and encouragement made this experience a positive accomplishment for him that he can and will continue to build on. In conclusion, Jack, his mother, and I feel that his guitar lessons are going very well and we are very happy with his accomplishments. This is all a testament to your patience, skills, and encouragement as a teacher. If we were asked to recommend a teacher by anyone, we would be able to confidently recommend you without reservation. We look forward to Jack’s continued lessons with you." - Brian Cartmill
